162/163 error after configuration change



PROBLEM
  1.   162/163 configuration error may occur after a configuration change.
  2.   12902 error after running diagnostics may occur following a configuration change.

Machines AFFECTED - All 6382/S, 6384/D, and 6387/T's.

SOLUTION -
  1.  A FLASH update diskette (level 51 or higher) and a new version of diagnostics (version  are required to fix this problem.  the FLASH update diskette can be obtained from the IBM BBS
  2.  To fix the 12902 error, the diagnostics must be run. Execute the system board test  within the diagnostics to clear the error.
