Replacing a non-hot-plug adapter in a failover pair
If the failed adapter is not in a hot-plug PCI slot, do the following to replace it:
- Shutdown the server.
- Replace the failed adapter.
- Follow the steps to reconfigure a second adapter.
- To initialized the adapter, do steps 7 to 9.
- To configure the adapter for clustering, do steps 6 to 12.
If the failed adapter is in a hot-plug slot, refer to the documentation that comes with the server for
instructions for replacing it.
