BIOS release 1.6 for VI7 V1.0


Release information:

1. Please use flash utility AWDFLASH v8.24F to update VI7 BIOS.
2. Add Intel P4 Extreme Edition support.
3. Fixed the issue that P4 Max_power test will fail when using P4 3.06G.
4. Revise DMI information.
5. Fixed the issue that IRQ 14 or 15 will be assigned to devices even when
   IDE controller is enabled.
6. Add DRAM SPD timing display.
7. Fixed the issue that Intel brand name will not be shown after Clear 
   CMOS.
8. Fixed the issue that cannot set IDE devices to PIO mode.
9. Add CPU fan fail alarm option.
10. Remove the description of "Virus Protection".
11. Set the default setting of "Shutdown when CPU fan fail" to "Disabled".
12. Change the default setting of Set IRQ-5 assigned to" to "PCI Device". 
13. BIOS compile date: 12/25/2003.

1. How to upgrade BIOS:

 a. Boot into MS-DOS or "Safe mode and command prompt" if you are using
    Windows95/98
 b. Run "vi716.exe" to extract all files.
 c. Run "runme.bat"

   ***  Please notice that we suggest you flashing the bios with switches

           "/py /sn /cd /cp /cc /cks /R" or by "runme.bat".

2.After BIOS updated, pull off the power cord and then clear the CMOS data
  via jumper before restarting system please.
