BIOS release 1.3 for KV7 1.3


Release information:

1. Please use flash utility AWDFLASH v8.24F to update KV7 BIOS.
2. Enhanced Compatibility with Barton 2500+(333) / 3000+(333).
3. Fixed the problem that the system cannot boot into Windows if
   1) The OS is installed in the SATA hard disk when both the SATA and 
      PATA hard disks are present.
   2) The PATA hard disk is removed after the OS installation.
4. Remove "An Energy Star Ally" string.
5. Update VIA SATA RAID BIOS to version R2.21.
6. Change the default value of "Third Boot Device" to "CDROM"
7. BIOS Compile date: 11/05/2003.

1. 請使用更新程式 AWDFLASH v8.24F 更新 KV7 BIOS。
2. 增進搭配 Barton 2500+(333) / 3000+(333) CPU 的相容性。
3. 修正當滿足以下兩個條件時，系統無法開進 Windows 作業系統，
   1.) SATA 硬碟上安裝作業系統時，且系統上同時存在 SATA 跟 PATA 硬碟。
   2.) 在安裝完作業系統後移除 PATA 硬碟。
4. 刪除開機時EPA logo 旁"An Energy Star Ally" 字串。
5. 更換 VIA VT8237 SATA RAID BIOS 為 R2.21。
6. 將"Third Boot Device" 的預設值改為 "CDROM"。
7. BIOS 日期: 11/05/2003。

1. How to upgrade BIOS:

 a. Boot into MS-DOS or "Safe mode and command prompt" if you are using
    Windows95/98
 b. Run "kv713.exe" to extract all files.
 c. Run "runme.bat"

   ***  Please notice that we suggest you flashing the bios with switches

           "/py /sn /cd /cp /cc /cks /R" or by "runme.bat".

2.After BIOS updated, pull off the power cord and then clear the CMOS data
  via jumper before restarting system please.
