Abstract: ECA031: NETFINITY 10/100 FAULT TOLERANT ADAPTER FAILS RESET
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this ECA is to correct a hardware reset problem that can potentially
affect a number of customers worldwide with a Netfinity 10/100 Fault Tolerant Adapter.
This is NOT a mandatory ECA.
This ECA is scheduled to be withdrawn May 31, 2000.

DETAIL:
Replace failing card FRU P/N 25L4837 with reworked card FRU P/N 31L4180 (received in B/M P/N 31L4196).
Due to a problem on the adapter, a system soft reset may not leave the adapter in a stable/known state.
NOTES:
This ECA is "AS REQUIRED".
This ECA is scheduled to be withdrawn May 31, 2000.
Parts in "Features" Section, under "B/M to be Installed" column, MUST BE Ordered Code "B".
The only part number which can be ordered for this ECA is the B/M P/N 31L4196, which will contain the FRU P/N 31L4180.
PARTS DISPOSITION:
The removed parts are the property of IBM and should be returned to Endicott as per your
country guidelines and local branch office procedures.
