Abstract: MSCS & SERVERAID: IPSHAHTO.EXE MAY FAIL TO MOVE RESOURCES

SYMPTOM:

During the installation of Microsoft Cluster Server 1.0 (MSCS) and the IBM ServeRAID adapters the IPSHAHTO.EXE program may fail to move resources.

PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:

•  The system is any of the following IBM Netfinity servers:

       a Netfinity 7000-M10 server, Type 8680, any Model.
       a Netfinity 5500-M20 server, Type 8662, any Model.
       a Netfinity 5500-M10 server, Type 8661, any Model.
       a Netfinity 5500 server, Type 8660, any Model.
       a Netfinity 5000 server, Type 8659, any Model.

•  The system is configured with one or more of the following:
   Netfinity ServeRAID-3H Ultra2 SCSI Adapter, Option P/N 01K7207
•  The version 3.10 and 3.11 kit Device Driver for the ServeRAID III Adapter is affected.
•  The system is configured with one or more of the following:
  •  Windows NT 4.0 Enterprise Edition
  •  Microsoft Cluster Server 1.0

FIX:

Apply the following updates:

•  IBM ServeRAID BIOS and Firmware Diskette Version 3.50,
