Diagnostic error 105
PROBLEM - New Valuepoint 6384 system board FRU's may experience the following
problems:
o Diagnostics error 105 running system board and parallel port tests.
o The system board parallel port will be missing from the diagnostic "installed devices"
list.
Machines AFFECTED - Valuepoint 6384 systems.
SOLUTION - Clear CMOS using the following procedure:
NOTE: Removing the CMOS is not an effective procedure for clearing the CMOS on the
models listed in problem isolation aids.
1. Power-off the system.
2. Move the jumper on jp8* so that it connects PINs 2 and 3.
3. Apply a momentary short across the 2 ends of capacitor c17*.
4. Move the jumper on jp8* back to PINs 1 and 2.
5. Run the configuration utility to restore the configuration settings.
Restoring the configuration will clear a manufacturing test list and the problem will not
reoccur.
