ITBU FLASH ROM corrupted

PROBLEM - While using an IBM internal tape backup unit (OS2 tape, PS2 tape, or PM tape) the FLASH ROM may be corrupted.

Machines AFFECTED - Valuepoint 6381 Si systems.

SOLUTION - The write protect jumper must be set in the correct position to eliminate the possibility of a corrupted FLASH ROM. The correct positions are:

machine jumper jumper position DX J10 PINs 2 and 3 DX2 J10 PINs 2 and 3 SX J11 PINs 2 and 3
