6381-M30 / Hayes Optima 2400 modem
PROBLEM - When a second outbound call is made with a 6381-M30 system at BIOS level
L9ET31AUS with a Hayes Optima 2400 modem, the system hangs. A hard restart is needed
to restore the system. This happens while using the card file function of MS Windows or
the terminal function.
Machines AFFECTED - Valuepoint 6381-M30 systems.
SOLUTION - Check the planar raw card number which is etched on the board next to the
memory SIMMs. Part number 52G6998 is a pass three planar and requires the WFW311FX
patch. If the board is 52G7066 it is a pass four planar and it requires a resistor fix.
