VP 6381 FLASH code level update
PROBLEM - What system fixes where incorporated in the FLASH code levels 27A, 30A, 31A,
and 33?
Machines AFFECTED - All 6381's.
SOLUTION - The system fixes incorporated in FLASH code level 27a are as follows:
- A SCSI hard file will not ipl without the presence of an IDE hardfile.
- Conner brand hardfile controller failures (17xx errors).
- Excessive time out period during boot without diskette drive installed. FLASH code level
27a shortens the time until the system boots to the hardfile or network
- Maxtor 527MB (installed as master) configures as a 0MB slave hard file.
- Two beeps after completing POST.
The system fixes incorporated in FLASH code level 30A are as follows:
- Hardfile large block transfer problem.
- Blue max int. 15 problem.
- Mouse port problem reported by special needs group.
The system fix incorporated in FLASH code level 31A is as follows:
- Masked NMI in POST to fix DX2 problem in manufacturing.
The system fixes incorporated in FLASH code level 33 are as follows:
- Fixed power on password failure.
- Added Brazil to the languages supported.
- Updated all the languages supported on the FLASH update diskette to the power
on/keyboard password security fixes.
