Improper parallel port and video operation
PROBLEM - Improper parallel port (LPT1 only) and video operation. The conflicting
addresses are I/O ports 3B8-3BB and I/O ports 3BC-3BF. When various video adapters are
installed that address 3B8-3BB, the parallel port (LPT1) will also address the same address
range causing improper function of the parallel port.
Machines AFFECTED - All 6382/S, 6384/D, and 6387/T which uses the monochrome port
or a Weitek or Hercules video adapter.
SOLUTION - The work around for this problem is to reassign the parallel port device to
LPT2, LPT3 or LPT4.
