Identifying Model number and Hub Type (8238)
Identifying Model number and Hub Type
To identify the type of hub, locate the Model Number/Serial Number on the
rear of the unit. The mgmt. hubs are identified by a model number with the following format.:
8238-xy1
Where:
- x - indicates passive (P) or active (A) ports.
- y - indicates the level of mgmt.: Bronce (B), Silver (S), Gold (G).
The expansion hubs are features of the IBM 8238 TR Stackable Hub and are
identified on the label with the following format:
8238-xE1
Where:
- x - indicates passive (P) or active (A) ports.
