Status indicators
Power-On Light
This light comes on when you turn on the server by pressing the power switch.
Hard Disk Drive In-Use Light
This light comes on when the server is accessing a SCSI hard disk drive.
If this light remains illuminated, it might indicate that either
the SCSI bus or the system microprocessor has stopped.
Ethernet Activity Light
This light comes on when the Ethernet controller is transmitting data
to or receiving data from another system in the network.
Ethernet Diagnostic LED
The server contains a diagnostic light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for the
Ethernet connector located on the rear panel of the server.
- When the green LED is on, it indicates that the Ethernet controller
is connected to a hub or switch and is receiving link pulses. This LED is
also known as the Link OK light.
- When the amber LED is on, it indicates that the Ethernet network is
operating at 100 Mbps. When this LED is off, it indicates that the
Ethernet network is operating at 10 Mbps.
CD-ROM Drive In-Use Light
This light comes on when the CD-ROM drive is accessed.
Diskette Drive In-Use Light
This light comes on when the diskette drive is accessed.
