SSA Service Aids
SSA Service Aids
SSA service aids are included in the SSA Configurator and Service Aids Utility. The SSA service aids are:
- Set Service Mode : This service aid enables you to determine the location of a particular disk
drive on the SSA loop, and to remove that disk from the loop.
- Format Disk : This service aids formats an SSA disk drive.
- Certify Disk : This service aid verifies that all the data on a disk drive can be read correctly.
Do not run the service aids from more than one system at a time, otherwise, unexpected
results might occur.
These service aids are available only from the Disk Service Aids menu. To start a service aid, press the appropriate function (F) key.
The assignments for the F-keys are shown on the screen.
Before you use the service aids , ensure that you are familiar with the principles of SSA loops. If you are not familiar with these principles,
first read 'SSA Loops, Links, and Data Path'.
