Fn Key Combinations

The following table shows the Fn key and function key combinations and their corresponding functions.

The Fn key works independently of the operating system. The operating system obtains the status through the system management interface to control the system.

Fn + Description
F1 Reserved
F2 Fuel-Gauge display on and off
F3 Turn Standby mode on
F4 Turn Suspend mode on
F5 Reserved
F6 Reserved
F7 Switch between the LCD, and an external monitor,
F8 Turn screen expansion on or off.
(There is no symbol on the key.)
F9 Reserved
F10 Reserved
F11 Switch th power management mode
(High Performance, Automatic, or Customized).
F12 Turn Hibernation mode on


Model-dependent functions

Pg Up Increase the sound volume
Pg Dn Decrease the sound volume
Back
space		 Mute
